Dearest Helen:
I have now pass my fourth Sat. at Sampson. It seems like it has been a year at times but guess that all month are made up of the same time.
How are you all tonight? I am fine. I am now ready to retire for the night. This morning for four hours I pushed a mop on swab as the Navy call it. That's were three of us that moped the warehouse had to have it ready for inspection at 2:00 P.M. I feel like I have gone a fair days work.
After supper I did my wash 1 suit of underwear, 4 pillow cases, 1 mattress cover, 1 blue shirt, and one pair of blue pants. I am all caught up on this end of it for a change so I wont have to wash laundry.
Tomorrow we go to church at Sullivan Hall there the entire program will be broadcast. I wish I would have known it soon and I would have had you listen in on it.
Got two of your letters today. I didn't get any mail at all yesterday-but made up for it today. Got 2 letters from you dear. 1 from Babe an Easter Greetings from Evie and Pauls.
Glad to hear that Babe and Genevie have been
converted as if more people would this would be a much pleasanter world to live in & perhaps we wouldn't be at war today either.
How are my dears tonight? Have you gave them a bath I suppose that you have as this time here would be only 8:00 your time.
Glad to hear that we'll have taters next winter. I only hope and pray darling that I will be across the table eating them with you instead of Doris and Merle not having to go. Although it would be nice if Merle did have to go. We sure hope he don't.

The sun is shining nice and bright and the day looks like its going to be swell. Hope that at home its as nice as it is here.
Dearest I suppose that i might as well tell you now as when i get home that I will only have about 5 not more than 6 days at home. So don't feel to bad about it as we will just have to make the most of it. I am awful disappointed but I guess 7 days is the most unless they change it between now and the time we leave. The chaplins are fighting for more time for us but so far they have not succeeded in getting more than 7 for those that come in. So lets hope that its more.

Hello Janice& Denny. Are you going to Sunday school to-day? Daddy is going. Maybe Daddy can go with you all to Sunday school next Sunday. The Easter bunny will come to Janice and Denny wont he? Daddy would sure like to give you each a big kiss and hug this morning so momma will have to kiss you for me. Be a good girl and boy today for Daddy. Helen I haven't received my check from G.E. as of yet. Ask Margret what Glen did to get his. I sent a statement that I was in to Co. but that was almost a month ago. I know that you will be needing it before long. So find out what Glen did from Margret and tell me when I get home, and Ill do my best to get it for you.
